Master of Science in Respiratory Care

Part of the Department of Health Sciences and Division of Respiratory Care

The respiratory care program at UT Health San Antonio is designed to prepare excellent clinicians. Our program provides students with a strong foundation in clinical practice, education, and research. As an entry-to-practice program, no prior health care experience is required for admission. 

In 2017, the program was reviewed by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) and received a 10-year approval indicating full compliance with all accreditation standards. The Master of Science in Respiratory Care is fully accredited by CoARC and program outcomes data can be found on the CoARC website.

  • Bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited institution
  • No prior health care experience required
  • Complete of all prerequisite coursework
  • Overall GPA of 2.5
  • Two letters of recommendation
