Ken Queliza Class of 2017
Every day, Ken Queliza knows he is in the right place. The physical therapy program isn’t just school. It is a family.
“I am excited to go to school every day because of the people I get to interact with: my colleagues and the physical therapy faculty. We all genuinely care about each other.
“We support each other and help each other study in preparation for tests and projects, and knowing that I can talk to anyone — fellow classmates, the faculty, the second-year and even third-year PT students — is a very reassuring thing to have when it comes to crunch time.”
After earning his master’s degree in sports medicine, Queliza developed a great appreciation of the human body, and its ability to perform and heal. He wanted to earn an advanced degree in PT to further explore the body’s potential.
“The field of physical therapy interests me because it’s very evidence-based in its approach to treatment, and studies are always being published about potentially more effective therapy treatments.
“I’m particularly excited about working in sports PT, where I will get to incorporate aspects of my strength and conditioning/performance enhancement background with my knowledge of rehabilitation.”
