Advancing the Science of Cancer in Latinos Exhibitors

The Mays Cancer Center and the Institute for Health Promotion Research at UT Health San Antonio are excited to welcome sponsors and exhibitors to participate in the third international conference on Advancing the Science of Cancer in Latinos taking place, February 23-25, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas.

Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, Chair of U.S. President Joe Biden’s COVID-19 Equity Task Force and Co-Chair of the COVID-19 Advisory Board, will be our keynote speaker. Several other NIH directors have been invited to provide updates on new cancer research opportunities including Dr. Eliseo Perez Stable, Director of the NIMHD and Dr. Norman Sharpless, Director of the NCI.

Latinos face a projected 142% rise in cancer cases in the coming years in the United States. Yet disparities continue to plague our population in access to care, risk factor behaviors, mortality, and quality of life, all worsened by COVID-19. Although there has been substantial progress in cancer prevention, screening, diagnosis, and treatment over the past several decades, advancement in addressing the issue has not kept pace. Our vision has been to unite researchers, scientists, physicians, healthcare professionals, patient advocates and students from across the nation and beyond, in an open dialogue, under one roof, to discuss research advancements to date, identify gaps, and develop actionable goals to translate basic research into clinical best practices, effective community interventions, and professional training programs to eliminate cancer disparities in Latinos.

It is with the support of our sponsors and exhibitors that we have been able to host this important meeting and tackle the issue of Latino cancer from all angles. With nearly 300 academic and private researchers, physicians, and professionals with backgrounds in clinical, translational and basic research expected to attend, this conference will give sponsors and exhibitors the perfect opportunity to network and demonstrate their company’s products and services. With several levels of support and advertising opportunities, there are numerous ways your company can increase its message to our members and conference attendees. At the Mays Cancer Center, our mission is to alleviate the burden of cancer through the highest quality patient care, scientific discovery and integrity, and this conference is an exceptional opportunity to step in that direction. We hope that you will join us at this conference as a proud sponsor and/or exhibitor!
