Sarah VanArendonk, MD

Dr. VanArendonk grew up in Michigan, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology and Chemistry from Hope College in 2010. She then spent a year with the Lutheran Volunteer Corps, where she worked at Healthcare for the Homeless in Baltimore, Maryland. She earned her medical degree from the University of Michigan in 2016, where she was elected a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado in 2020, where she won multiple residency teaching awards. She then completed an Obstetrics and Gynecology Hospitalist fellowship at the University of Colorado in 2021. Dr. VanArendonk joined the faculty at UT Health San Antonio in August 2021. Her clinical interests include resident education, early pregnancy complications, gynecologic surgery, and quality improvement processes on labor and delivery.
