Shenghui  Wu, M.D., Ph.D., Master of Medicine

Assistant Professor

Dr. Wu has more than 18 years’ experience in cancer, cardiovascular disease, obesity and diabetes and other disease epidemiology research to evaluate the effect of lifestyle, biomarkers, and other factors on the risk and survival of cancer and other diseases in populations. Dr. Wu has published more than 50 articles and is the first and/or corresponding author for most of these publications. Dr. Wu has experience in grant application, project design, oversight and implementation, data analysis and manuscript writing. Dr. Wu has worked for several large research projects and is a PI/co-I/collaborator for several projects. Dr. Wu is a member of DoD grant review committee, several professional associations/organizations, and a peer reviewer/editor for multiple professional journals. Dr. Wu has developed and taught several epidemiology courses for graduate, undergraduate and high school students and has supervised students to conduct research projects. Dr. Wu contributed a lot of service work to the profession, university, department, community, and the public.
