I joined UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing Faculty in 2019 as an Assistant Professor/Clinical. I currently teach undergraduate clinical courses for NURS.3305: Foundations of Nursing: Clinical Application and NURS.4227: Population Focused Health: Clinical Application. I enjoy assisting in the skills laboratory with NURS.3110: Health Assessment Clinical Application. I came to UT Health after spending seven years as a clinical prevention specialist, where I worked with a high-risk, high-need population with chronic conditions, polypharmacy, and other complex physical and mental health needs. My experiences also include teaching as a civilian instructor in the U.S. Army Licensed Practical Nurse course and working in a variety of medical/surgical settings.
I hope to show students that the nursing profession serves a diverse world and needs diverse nurses who all fit in this profession in their own ways.
