Our community programs and centers are making lives better by promoting health as an act of social justice and bringing care to people with traditionally limited access to health care. We are serving today’s patient needs with a focus on tomorrow’s health care demands. In fact, as the aging patient population continues to rise, our flagship program, Caring for the Caregiver, is raising awareness of the need to support caregivers of people with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
A true interdisciplinary and joint effort among nursing, medical and dental students and faculty from UT Health San Antonio addresses the health and social needs of immigrant refugees.
