Accelerated BSN Admission Criteria
- Minimum 2.5 cumulative GPA
- Minimum 3.0 math/science GPA (based on required math and science courses only)
- Minimum 65 cumulative score on the new TEAS Exam. Visit ATI for more information. (Please note, the examination must be taken prior to the application deadline and may only be taken once per admission cycle. Admitted students who score below 70 on the reading portion of the TEAS examination will be required to participate in a reading intervention program sponsored through the School of Nursing Student Success Center)
- Completion of all required prerequisite courses prior to enrollment. Applicants will need to complete at least 51 of the 60 semester hours of required prerequisite courses prior to the application deadline. Students may not be currently enrolled in a required math or science class at the time of the application deadline.
- Prior to the application deadline, all applicants must complete every task listed on the Application Instruction Steps. Applicants who fail to submit necessary materials on time will not be considered for admission.
- All official credit by examination score reports (CLEP, AP, etc.) must be received by the UT Health San Antonio by the application deadline. The UT Health San Antonio school code is 6908.
- International applicants and those with foreign coursework (including students who have studied abroad) must also follow the necessary steps listed on the Foreign Coursework page.
