Courses Taken Pass/Fail:
Prerequisite courses taken during the Spring 2020 or Summer 2020 terms can be accepted if a passing grade of “P” is earned. Classes with a grade of “P” will not be included in the cumulative or prerequisite GPA. Failed courses will not be accepted, but will be included in GPA calculation.
For the Spring 2021 Traditional BSN application, the following materials are due to the following offices by 10:59 PM on August 1st, 2020:
- Submitted application – NursingCAS
- Official transcripts from all colleges you have attended – NursingCAS
- AP and CLEP score reports – UT Health San Antonio
- Foreign coursework evaluation (if applicable) – UT Health San Antonio
However, due to changes in exam registration, UT Health San Antonio will be accepting TEAS score reports after the August 1 deadline. We will accept TEAS score reports from ATI up until September 15th 2020.
The Bachelor of Science in Nursing Traditional Track (BSN) is designed for students with 60 hours of prerequisite college coursework and no previous nursing education. The Traditional BSN is 22 months long, with courses taken during the Fall and Spring semesters.
Minimum GPAs & Test Scores
- Cumulative GPA: 2.5
- Prerequisite GPA: 3.0
- TEAS Score: 65
Applicants must follow our Application Instructions and follow NursingCAS procedures. All materials must be received by the application deadline. Students with foreign college credit must also follow our Foreign Coursework Instructions.
Application and fee
A completed NursingCAS application must be submitted before the application deadline. All fees are accessed through the NursingCAS application. The Office of Admissions fee is $45 and is non-refundable. The NursingCAS fee is separate and is set by NursingCAS.
