Prerequisite Courses

Coursework Requirements

Prior to attending UT Health San Antonio, all BSN students must complete a set of prerequisite courses at a regionally accredited college of their choice.

Applicants must complete all math and science prerequisites (in bold in the following table) before submitting an application. Applicants may be missing up to 9 hours of non-math and science classes when submitting an application, but must finish those remaining hours prior to starting classes at UT Health San Antonio.

Courses Taken Pass/Fail

Prerequisite courses taken as “pass/fail” or “credit/no credit” during the Spring 2020 or Summer 2020 terms can be accepted as long as the course is passed and credit is earned. Classes taken this way will not be included in the cumulative or prerequisite GPA. Failed courses will not be accepted, but will be included in GPA calculation.

Foreign Coursework Evaluations

Applicants who have attended a college outside of the United States are required to submit an official course-by-course foreign evaluation by a current NACES member.

Applicants will need to have their course-by-course evaluation mailed directly from the NACES member to the Office of Admissions. This evaluation is due by the deadline and must be mailed to:
