We support the physical, emotional, and social health of family caregivers to people living with a chronic illness or disability. We are developing evidence-based family caregiving interventions for those with cancer, addiction, Alzheimer’s disease, stroke, and other complex diseases across the lifespan.
Our research focuses on building caregivers’ knowledge and confidence when providing care using a strengths-based approach. We test interventions that draw on multidisciplinary expertise from nursing, occupational therapy, speech-language pathology, nutrition, and oral hygiene.
Our research spans from testing novel interventions to implementing evidence-based programs in new settings. We strive to develop programs that are accessible to family caregivers and tailored to meet their needs.
