Ph.D. Student

Ms. Brieanna Flowers-Joseph is a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner and Predoctoral Fellow on Dr. Lisa Cleveland’s Maternal-Newborn research team at UT Health San Antonio, School of Nursing. For the past 5 years, Brieanna has worked at San Antonio Pediatric Developmental Services where she diagnosis, manages, treats, and monitors developmental progression/outcomes of infants and children with a variety of conditions and adverse experiences to include: premature birth, multiple gestation births, prenatal drug-exposure, genetic-chromosomal disorders, Autism, behavioral/psychological disparities, sexual/physical abuse, and placement in the foster care system. Brieanna’s interests are to make an impact on the stigmatized stimulant exposed mother-infant dyad populations in hopes to positively change the trajectory of their lives.
