Carlos Hernandez, D.D.S., M.D.

Dr. Carlos Hernandez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, graduating with high honors in 2014 with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Finance as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology. After graduation, he attended Columbia University College of Dental Medicine receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in May 2019. Throughout dental school, he was very active in the Hispanic Student Dental Association, the American Student Dental Association, and numerous other organizations. He was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society for demonstrating outstanding scholarship, service, and being in the upper 10% of his class throughout the four years. Dr. Hernandez returned to Texas to begin the residency program in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at UT Health San Antonio in July 2019 and is expected to receive his M.D. in 2022.

Outside of OMS, he enjoys playing golf, soccer, and tennis as well as spending time with friends and family.
