Standard Versus Intensity-Modulated Pelvic Radiation Therapy in Treating Patients with Endometrial or Cervical Cancer
The purpose of this study is to test whether the use of a radiation therapy delivery technique called intensity-modulated radiation therapy (IMRT) can reduce the amount and severity of gastrointestinal side effects (such as diarrhea) that result from radiation, compared with standard radiation techniques. The researchers hope to learn about the good and bad effects that radiation therapy has on subjects in
this study. The study also will learn about the feelings women have about their life after surgery and radiation therapy.
