Dr. Tony Eng's areas of expertise involve gynecologic oncology, including cancer of the cervix, prostate cancer and pediatric oncology. Having served in the military for 14 years, Dr. Eng joined UT Health San Antonio in 1999. He has served as the residency program director, vice chair and interim chair of the department of radiation oncology. Dr. Eng is a nationally-recognized expert in Merkel cell carcinoma and has been a featured speaker on this subject at national meetings. He has been published extensively, including reference textbooks and he has served in a number of leadership roles in medical organizations. Dr. Eng’s contributions to the institution have been recognized by a special service recognition and he was teacher of the year from the UT Health Science Center. He has also been named as one of the top doctors in San Antonio.
