Prosthodontists are dental specialists who treat patients in need of comprehensive care to crown teeth badly damaged by wear or trauma or to replace missing teeth with bridges, partial or complete dentures or dental implants. Our residents are dentists who have returned to dental school for specialty training. They work closely with other UT Dentistry specialty clinics to coordinate preliminary treatments that may be required to prepare the mouth for prosthodontic restoration. For example, if you have badly worn teeth, you may require preliminary orthodontic or periodontic treatment to change the position of your teeth or expose more of your tooth to idealize the crowns that will follow. Similarly, our residents closely coordinate surgical placement of implants in anticipation of restoration in our clinic.
Our clinic is staffed by residents who have already received a dental degree and are continuing their studies in this advanced specialty. Board-certified faculty members from the School of Dentistry closely supervise the residents.
We accept cash, checks and credit cards. We accept payment from most dental insurance plans as out-of-network providers. You can confirm coverage or ask about specific insurance plans when you make an appointment.
