Considering surgical weight loss?

If you are considering surgical weight loss to lead a healthier lifestyle, you must meet the following requirements:

• Be at least 18 years old.

• Have an extended history of attempting to lose weight through diet and exercise.

• Have a BMI of 35 or greater and a serious obesity-related health condition, such as diabetes, high blood pressure, stress urinary incontinence, sleep apnea and physical problems that severely interfere with function.

*Expect the prequalification process to include a series of tests. You also will meet with a nutritionist, psychologist and other support staff in sessions leading up to surgery.
