We’ve all seen the sideline tents on game day. Katherine Bartush, MD, director of sports medicine at UT Health San Antonio and head orthopaedic surgeon at The University of Texas at San Antonio explains why they’re important and talks about what it means to be a sports medicine doctor.
Dr. Katherine "Katie" Christine Bartush has returned to UTHealth San Antonio to practice Sports Medicine and Foot & Ankle surgery. She focuses on treating patients' knee, shoulders, elbows, hips and ankles at the Medical Arts & Research Center in the Medical Center.
Throughout her training, she has earned awards for excellence in Orthopedics and research. She has been published in peer-reviewed journals, written surgical technique articles, and performed clinical research. She is also a member of the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and the American Orthopaedic Foot & Ankle Society.
