Dr. Belinda Yauger joined the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UT Health San Antonio in July of 2021 as Chief for the Division of Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility. In 2022 Yauger was recognized as a "Top Doctor" by San Antonio Magazine.
She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Zoology from the University of Florida and her Medical Doctorate at Washington University School of Medicine. She completed Obstetrics and Gynecology residency training at the National Capital Consortium in Bethesda, MD, in 2005, followed by a fellowship in Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility at the National Institutes of Health in 2009.
Yauger is dual board-certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility.
Dr. Yauger retired from the U.S. Army in July 2021 after 20 years of service, during which time she deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan. While on active duty, she worked as the Army OBGYN Consultant to the Office of the Surgeon General, providing leadership in Military Women’s Health.
She is currently both a specialty and an REI subspecialty certifying examiner for the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. In addition, she serves in multiple national organizations to set standards of practice and evidence-based medical care including the Editorial Board for Obstetrics and Gynecology (the leading medical journal for OBGYN), the Clinical Consensus Committee for the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the Practice Committee for the American Society for Reproductive Medicine and the Quality Assurance Committee for the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technologies.
