Ramesh Grandhi, M.D., serves as the Director of Neurotrauma at UT Health San Antonio and is also a dual trained cerebrovascular neurosurgeon. He can treat vascular pathologies through endovascular techniques as well as traditional, open microsurgical approaches. In addition, his expertise in endovascular approaches has allowed him to have significant experience in treating patients with stroke, ranging from therapies involving carotid and intracranial stenting to mechanical thrombectomy for acute strokes.
Dr. Grandhi has authored over 50 peer-reviewed publications and neurosurgery book chapters. His clinical and research interests pertain to the fields of cerebrovascular neurosurgery and neurotrauma, specifically traumatic brain injury and blunt cerebrovascular injury. Furthermore, having been a high school teacher prior to medical school, he is highly interested and involved in teaching medical students and residents.
