Diabetic retinopathy is the leading cause of blindness in the United States. Other conditions such as diabetic macular edema (DME), cataracts, and glaucoma also occur with increased frequency in diabetic patients and can lead to diminished vision and/or blindness.
We partner with the ophthalmologists from UT Health Physicians who specialize in the diagnosis, treatment and care of all diabetic eye conditions. Our experts use the latest tools and knowledge in eye care, including optical coherence tomography (OCT) and different types of laser treatments.
