Morningside Ministries provides training and education that improve the quality of care received by older adults through mmLearn, an online program that provides a resource for health care employees and staff as well as patients and family members.

Go4Life, an exercise and physical activity campaign from the National Institute on Aging at NIH, is designed to help you fit exercise and physical activity into your daily life. Motivating older adults to become physically active for the first time, return to exercise after a break in their routines, or build more exercise and physical activity into weekly routines are the essential elements of Go4Life.

The Alamo Area Agency on Aging of the Alamo Area Council of Governments (AAOCG) is one of 28 area agencies in the State of Texas designated by the Texas Department of Aging and Disability Services to develop and administer comprehensive services for people who are:

  • 60 years of age and living in the counties of Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina or Wilson
  • Residents of any age who are eligible for Medicare within the 11 counties of the AAOCG region
  • Caregivers of individuals age 60 and over
