Our specialists provide complete care for diabetes including wound care including treatment of conditions such as diabetic neuropathy, which results in nerve damage from high blood sugar levels. People with diabetes often have loss of feeling in their feet from this type of nerve damage, as well as wounds that are slow to heal. This places them at a much greater risk of infection and other complications such as amputation of the foot or lower leg. Proper care and control of diabetes can help reduce injury to the foot and lower leg.

Wound care specialists and diabetes experts at UT Health Physicians can provide treatment and care to effectively manage any wound or foot condition.
