Dr. Ismail Jatoi is a professor and chief of the division of surgical oncology and endocrine surgery at UT Health San Antonio. He obtained his bachelor's degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, and his medical and doctorate degrees from St. Louis University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Surgery and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He completed fellowship training in surgical oncology at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London, England. Dr. Jatoi served in the United States military for many years and was a professor of surgery at the Uniformed Services University in Bethesda, Maryland. He retired from the U.S. Army with the rank of colonel. Dr. Jatoi has had a longstanding interest in the treatment of breast cancer, the management of women at increased risk for breast cancer and cancer epidemiology.
