Access Systems & Controls

Access systems

Access systems is a division of UT Police that issues and collects metal keys and  provides card key access for the campus community at UT Health San Antonio. 

Access control

UT Police is responsible for all access control through electronic readers. They are also responsible for all alarms, including those reserved for doors and panic alerts on all UT Health San Antonio property, regardless of location.                             

University policy states that all security devices, including readers, alarms, panic alarms, cameras or electronic locking devices must be approved by the chief of police prior to installation. University policy also states that the UT Police must be involved in the planning and installation process. Please note: University policy states that all security devices must be approved by the chief of police and must interface with the current security system that is in place.

The access control office is located below Parking Garage B.
