Patrol services

Patrol

The patrol division is under the general supervision of the division commander who reports directly to the chief of police. The patrol division provides security and safety for the protection of faculty, staff, students and visitors in the workplace, while conducting research and pursuing studies on campus.

Safe Walk program

The Safe Walk program is an integral part of providing a safe environment for our campus community. In an effort to keep members of our community safe, the Safe Walk program provides uniformed public safety officers to safely escort you on and around campus upon request. Patrol monitoring requests

We take pride in our proactive approach to providing a safe environment for our campus community, with careful consideration for the well-being of students, faculty, staff and visitors. which has created one of the safest campuses in the UT System. In continuance of that objective, our police and public safety officers upon request, will provide additional after-hours patrols of your location, e.g., office or lab, late at night or on weekends. Your ability to work and study in a safe environment is our mission.
