Time & Date

Tuesday, June 9, 2020

The UT Health San Antonio Police Department is scheduled for an assessment as part of a program to achieve accreditation by verifying it meets professional standards.

Administered by the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies, Inc. (CALEA®), the accreditation program requires agencies to comply with state-of-the-art standards in four basic areas: policy and procedures, administration, operations, and support services.

As part of the assessment, UT Health San Antonio employees and members of the community are invited to offer comments in one of the following ways.

Call in Session

UT Health San Antonio employees and the public are invited to offer comments by calling (210) 416-8522 on Monday, June 15, between the hours of 12:00pm and 2:00pm. Comments will be taken by the CALEA Assessment Team.

Public Information Session

UT Health San Antonio employees and the public are also invited to attend a public information session on Tuesday, June 16, at 12:00pm. The session will be conducted virtually through Microsoft Teams. The call-in number is +1 210-469-0159, conference ID 297 039 052#

Emailing CALEA

Anyone wishing to submit written comments about the UT Health San Antonio Police Department’s ability to comply with the standards for accreditation may send them to the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement, Inc. (CALEA), 13575 Heathcote Boulevard, Suite 320, Gainesville, Virginia, 20155 or email calea@calea.org.
