Parking Updates

Greehey Campus Construction and Parking News
(Updated on 11/22/2022)

UT Health San Antonio is on a rapid growth trajectory that will result in the construction of several new structures on the Greehey Campus. Among them are the UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital, a six-story employee parking garage, and a building dedicated to brain health and research. During construction, scheduled to begin in January, adjustments to parking services and operations will be necessary.

At this time, approximately 320 faculty, staff and students who park in the following lots will be relocated due to the construction:

Lot 34 – Barshop Institute, starting Feb. 2, 2023.
Lot 24 – Center for Oral Health Care and Research, starting Jan. 3, 2023.
Lot 31 – Medical Arts and Research Center, starting March 20, 2023.

Individuals who park in the affected lots may relocate to Garage C, Garage E or Lots 16, 17 and 30 (see map below). Parking fees for permit holders will be adjusted to reflect the zone in which they choose to relocate. Individuals with reserved parking impacted by the construction will be contacted directly.

An express shuttle service from Lot 17 to the COHCR and the MARC will be available during business hours.

The new Barshop Parking Garage will be available by January 31, 2024.

UT Health Parking Services, in collaboration with leadership and MARC, COHCR and Barshop Institute management, will strive to provide seamless transition of services to our UT Health San Antonio community and our patients.
