Clinical Trials

Our clinical research program moves the knowledge we learn in the laboratory into clinical practice.

Clinical Trials & Studies

We require participants for studies. Our needs for each trial or study may vary.

  • OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT: Clinical Trial of of A New Investigational Toothpaste
  • OPEN FOR ENROLLMENT: Pain Assessment in Patients with Oral Cancer
  •  DENTISTS ONLY: We need participation in the STOHN Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization Study to examine children in South Texas. This helps us to learn how often Molar-Incisor Hypomineralization occurs in South Texas.

Why should I consider a clinical trial?

When you participate in a clinical trial, you help bring new techniques, tools and treatments to dental practices worldwide.

Is it safe?

All clinical studies must go through a rigorous approval process through the Institutional Review Board before they are opened to the public. A principal investigator, who is often a medical doctor or dentist, leads the study. A research team may include doctors, dentists, hygienists, nurses, social workers and other health care professionals.

How do I sign up?

See if there is an available clinical trial that fits your needs as a patient. Trials open for enrollment are updated regularly.

We are lucky this research and these specialists are here in San Antonio.
