Dialysis team rises to top Medicare ranking

Congratulations to the Division of Nephrology, whose dialysis units, located at University Hospital, recently achieved a 5 star rating from Medicare.

The 5 star rating is only given to the top 10 percent of dialysis units and is a mark of high quality care provided to patients with end-stage renal disease receiving hemodialysis.

Kudos to the nephrologists who helped achieve this honor. They include Dr. Chandan Takkar, director of clinical operations, Dr. Wajeh Qunibi, director of in-patient dialysis, Dr. Tarek Nassar, director of Texas Diabetes Institute Nephrology, Dr. Shweta Bansal, director of Peritoneal Dialysis Program, Dr. Seema Ahuja, Dr. Ashley Garcia-Everett, Dr. Catherine Do, Dr. Kinza Shamsi, Elia Keck, NP, and Jane Wilson, NP.
