Floyd Curl Drive from Charles Katz Drive to Hamilton Wolf Road will be closed from 5 p.m., Friday, Feb. 22, through Sunday, March 17. The road will close to allow for the construction of the pedestrian bridge that will connect UT Health San Antonio’s Barshop Institute with the South Texas Research Facility.
There will be no access to the entire Greehey campus of UT Health San Antonio from Hamilton Wolf during the closure. This includes the Medical Arts and Research Center, the Center for Oral Health Care and Research, the Greehey Children’s Cancer Research Institute, the McDermott building, South Texas Research Facility, the Research Administration Building and UT Health San Antonio MD Anderson Cancer Center.
Floyd Curl will remain open from Wurzbach Road to Charles Katz. An alternate route is to use Charles Katz and Ewing Halsell Drive to and from Wurzbach Road. Patients are encouraged to use Wurzbach to Floyd Curl. Traffic to the cancer center entrance on Wurzbach Road will not be affected.
Be aware that traffic in the area will be heavy during the closure. Allow extra time to reach your destination safely.
