Video: Finding New Strength Against PTSD

Retired Army Col. Don Gagliano, M.D., knew something wasn’t right after he came home from Iraq. It took him a long time to seek treatment for PTSD and when he finally did his doctor recommended Prolonged Exposure therapy (PE).

This short documentary explores Gagliano’s journey as well as the work of the researchers and clinicians at UT Health San Antonio who have helped Gagliano and others confront the psychological wounds of war.

The video was produced and originally published by Texas Health Journal, the health newsletter of The University of Texas System.
