We win UT System’s 2019 Spring Wellness Challenge

Congratulations to UT Health San Antonio for winning the 2019 Spring Wellness Challenge open to all UT System institutions.

UT Health San Antonio won in the medium-sized institution category. 2019 marks the third straight year we’ve won a UT System Wellness Challenge.

The health and wellness program, led at our university by the School of Nursing, is aimed at improving our employees overall health and health awareness by participating in many fitness and well-being focused activities. More than 4,000 employees of UT System institutions completed the challenge. At UT Health San Antonio, more than 447 employees and retirees participated.

Heather Wesling, staff member at the School of Nursing, organized the program for the campus. “The activity challenge focuses us to make better choices on living a healthier lifestyle,” she said.

Thank you to our staff and faculty at our School of Nursing who are supporting a culture of health and wellness for us all.
