Webinar to focus on dementia, family caregivers

A free webinar Jan. 29 will focus on support for people living with dementia and family caregivers. The webinar is sponsored by the Patient Centered Outcomes Research (PCOR) Stakeholder Advisory Council for the Caring for the Caregiver program.

Alzheimer’s disease is the sixth leading cause of death in the United States and affects more than 5.5 million Americans. Dementia does not only impact individuals living with the disease but also significantly affects families and communities. Involving people living with dementia and family caregivers in the research process has great benefits for research outcomes and builds capacity for those involved.

This webinar will feature speakers from the Alzheimer’s Association and the Patient Centered Outcomes Research Institute.

Participants may join a public webcast set for noon to 1 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 29, in ALTC 2.217. Or participants may join individually by calling 1-415-655-0001, meeting number 925 982 157, password 2018.
