The Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s & Neurodegenerative Diseases, in collaboration with the Alzheimer’s Association, the University of Texas at San Antonio and the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine, invite you to the South Texas Alzheimer’s Conference for collaboration and discussion on transformational care, research and therapeutics in Alzheimer’s disease.
Alzheimer’s disease is approaching the status of a public health crisis. Of any other demographic, the Hispanic population is projected to see the most growth in developing the disease. Despite the higher risk rates, there is less research being done within the Hispanic community.
Dedicated to serving the community of South Texas, the Biggs Institute’s inaugural conference will focus on the themes of Alzheimer’s disease in the Hispanic population and personalized and precision approaches to dementia prevention, diagnosis and care.
