The 8th Annual San Antonio Postdoctoral Research Forum (SAPRF) is a research and networking symposium that showcases postdoctoral research fellows from research institutions throughout San Antonio. This year, SAPRF will use a virtual platform that offers interactive, multi-media presentations, and poster judging. All postdocs in the San Antonio area are invited to submit research abstracts and present scientific posters.
The SAPRF Keynote Speaker will feature Jamboor Vishwanatha, PhD, Vice President and Regents Professor of Microbiology, Immunology and Genetics, the Center for Diversity and International Programs, and Director of the Texas Center for Health Disparities at the University of North Texas Health Science Center in Fort Worth, TX. Dr. Vishwanatha is Principal Investigator of the NIH-funded, NRMNet: A National Resource for Mentorship and Networking to Enhance Diversity and was a recipient of the prestigious Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring in 2019.
SAPRF reflects successful partnerships with the Naval Medical Research Unit – San Antonio (NAMRU-SA), Texas Biomedical Research Institute (Texas BioMed), United States Army Institute of Surgical Research (USAISR), UT Health San Antonio (UT Health SA), and the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA). Prior SAPRF have featured dynamic speakers, poster sessions, and competitive awards for presenters from all participating organizations.
