Stephan J. Haney, D.D.S.

Dr. Stephan J. Haney earned his D.D.S. in 1974 from Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas. After completion of dental school, he entered the U.S. Air Force as a general dentist. With Air Force sponsorship, he obtained specialty certification in prosthodontics from the University of Southern California in 1979 and board certification in 1990. 

Dr. Haney taught in Air Force AEGD residencies for 15 years until his retirement from active duty in 1998 when he entered private practice in Fort Worth, Texas. The practice was a fully integrated prosthodontic specialty practice with emphasis on rehabilitation of worn dentitions and implant facilitated rehabilitation utilizing fixed and removable modalities. 

Assuming a full time teaching position at UT Health San Antonio Dental School in 2007, Dr. Haney transitioned from predoctoral education to become the Director of Graduate Prosthodontics in 2011.  He retired from that position in 2018 and now teaches as a part-time clinical associate professor in the Department of Comprehensive Dentistry.
