The Office of the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives is responsible for:
- Preparation of Master Plan documents for The Texas Higher Education Coordination Board (THECB) and Capital Improvement Plan documents for the Board of Regents;
- Assisting in developing budgets for planned new capital projects;
- Participating in the programming, design, and construction of new capital projects;
- Coordinating new construction projects from conception through completion of construction and final occupancy to ensure that the goals of project planning, design, budgets, schedules, and construction are met;
- Strategic planning for UTHSCSA facilities
The Assistant Vice President is responsible for the following offices and their projects:
- Office of New Construction
- Master Planning Facility
- Project Planning / Programming
- Facility Renewal Planning and Sustainability
- Campus Exterior Planning
