Greehey Campus Construction Notice

As part of the preparations for the Center for Oral Healthcare Building, Facilities Management will be installing several underground chilled water lines and utility vaults in the vicinity of the South Texas Research Facility (STRF) and the Medican Arts and Research Center (MARC) buildings.  Additionally, provisions for a future fiber optic communications line will also be made.

This project will begin in mid to late September and will continue through May 2013.  During this time, significant construction will occur in the grassy area between the STRF building and Floyd Curl Drive as well as adjacent to Parking Lot #24. In the spirit of sustainable design and construction processes, Facilities Management and the general contractor will salvage and replant any trees that are disturbed as part of the project.

All public buildings and parking lots will remain open.   Utility services to the buildings on Greehey Campus will not be impacted by the project.  Please use caution while traveling within this area and be especially alert for flag persons, construction barricades and traffic signage.

If you have questions or concerns about this project, please contact Michael Cooper, Facilities Management Construction Project Manager, at 567-2880.
