Cooling Towers of the Central Energy Plant
As part of the Health Science Center’s ongoing commitment to maintain our campus’s infrastructure to serve the critical mission of our institution, Facilities Management began a $2.6M project to replace cooling towers at the Central Energy Plant. This project will replace two cooling towers which were built in the late 1960’s with a much more modern, efficient, and safer cooling tower system.
Construction on this project started in early February and will continue through May. This project was awarded though competitive public bid to REC Industries. Jason Lambert has been assigned as construction project manager.
